Welcome to Alma Cliffe Guest House
Alma Cliffe is a friendly, family-run guest house in an elevated position above Barnoldswick, with far-reaching views across the Ribble Valley towards the Yorkshire Three Peaks. Hosted by Tracey and Richard, it offers a relaxed and personal place to stay, with comfortable rooms, peaceful garden terraces and a warm welcome that helps guests feel at home.
Barnoldswick is surrounded by beautiful countryside, making Alma Cliffe a convenient base for walking, cycling and exploring the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, the nearby villages and the Yorkshire Dales. After a day outdoors, guests can return to the lounge or sun room, relax in the garden and enjoy the changing skies over the valley.
The town also has a lively local music scene. Barnoldswick Music & Arts Centre hosts an impressive programme of intimate concerts, while Green Street Club and The Greyhound regularly feature live performers and local bands. The Greyhound also offers food, drinks and weekly live music, all within easy reach of Alma Cliffe.
Whether you are visiting for a concert, a countryside break, a family occasion or simply a peaceful night away, Alma Cliffe provides a comfortable and welcoming base from which to enjoy Barnoldswick and the surrounding area.
Meet your Hosts
Alma Cliffe is our home as well as our guest house, and we want every stay to feel relaxed, friendly and personal. We are Tracey and Richard, and we enjoy welcoming visitors to Barnoldswick, sharing local recommendations and helping guests make the most of their time in the area.
We also share Alma Cliffe with our three much-loved dogs. Lexi is the mum of the family, while Sandy and Ruby are her four-year-old daughters. Sandy is the lighter-coloured pup, and Ruby has the beautiful red coat. They are very much part of life here and help give Alma Cliffe its warm, homely character.
We are a dog-friendly guest house and are happy to welcome well-trained, well-behaved dogs by prior arrangement. To help keep the rooms clean and comfortable for everyone, dogs are not allowed on the beds or other furniture. Owners are responsible for supervising their dogs throughout their stay.
Guests who enjoy dogs may get the chance to meet Lexi, Sandy and Ruby, although we always make sure everyone feels comfortable. Together, the five of us look forward to welcoming you to Alma Cliffe.
